Shannon Hays, LPC, MPH, CEDS, CAADC

She/Her

Shannon is a Licensed Professional Counselor and specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families wishing to overcome an array of challenges. These include trauma, addictions and co-occurring disorders, eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety/depression, mood disorders and many other concerns. Shannon is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), and holds certifications in Trauma, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counseling and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She has earned a Master of Arts in Professional Clinical Counseling from LaSalle University and a Master of Public Health from Capella University.

Regardless of the identified challenges of any individuals and families Shannon works with, she believes that all individuals have the strength to make lasting change in their lives. Shannon takes a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy, with an emphasis on compassion and creating a safe space for the individual. She has an eclectic style, drawing heavily from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Systems theory, an she believes strongly in empowerment and tailoring the therapeutic experience to the needs and personality of the individual. Shannon practices a solutions-focused, holistic approach to change and is an open and affirming provider, specializing in working with the LGBTQI community. Shannon is HAES (Health at Every Size) informed and gender affirming.

In addition to providing therapy, Shannon is the Clinical and Community Advisor at Bucks Support Services.
