About Us

Bucks ESC is directed by Dr. Heidi Dalzell, Clinical Psychologist along with Dr. Stacy Hunt, Clinical Psychologist, and Leah Frazee, Registered Dietitian.  The program is unique in providing individual therapy by doctoral and master’s level therapists, all with many years of Eating Disorder experience and expertise in treating adults and adolescents.  Dr. Hunt, Dr. Dalzell, Kayti Protos, LCSW (Clinical Director) speak nationally on topics such as ‘Trauma Informed Recovery from Eating Disorders’, ‘Eating Disorders in Gender Expansive Youth’, ‘Eating Disorder Recovery for Men’, and ‘Athletes and Disordered Eating’.   Our lead Dietitian, Leah Frazee, RD, LDN, also has extensive experience treating Eating Disorders.  Groups are run by well-trained, LGBTQ-affirming and trauma-informed therapists.  The beautiful space at Bucks Support Services, inclusive of a warm and inviting yoga studio, is host to the program. Unique to our Program

Bucks Eating Support Collaborative provides individual therapy, nutrition and group sessions as well as a more intensive out-patient program.  We provide high quality care for adults and adolescents dealing with and recovering from eating disorders while they are trying to promote stability and structure in their lives. Bucks ESC, is a team based approach which integrates all aspects of recovery for clients with co-morbid disorders, such as anxiety and depression. Bucks ESC, also incorporates exercise, mindfulness and experiential work with focus on supporting healthier body image and nutrition counseling from an intuitive eating approach.

Our treatment model is a team-based approach which integrates all aspects of recovery. Location & Payment

Bucks Eating Support Collaborative is located in the heart of Newtown in Bucks County PA. It is a perfect place for a step down from a partial hospitalization, or an inpatient or residential program. Clients can attend the program for as long as is necessary and begin to reduce their program sessions to tailor their needs as their recovery becomes stable. We are a private pay facility, which means we can provide receipts for services for your submission to your insurance carrier for Out-Of-Network” reimbursement. Some of the primary therapists are able to accept insurance for the individual psychotherapy sessions.

Services can be contracted on a week to week basis as an inclusive program with all services at a discount; or it can be attended in an ‘a-la carte’ fashion, with the approval of our intake director depending on the level of care needed for effective treatment.
