Julie Solomon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania. Julie earned her Masters of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Julie was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Treatment Research Center of The University of Pennsylvania. Bringing over 14 years of experience, Julie’s professional expertise covers a broad range such as eating disorders, addiction, relationship concerns, life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self- esteem and infertility.
Julie is committed to women’s issues, and often approaches treatment from a strength based and feminist perspective. She has a passion for working with clients who are struggling with food, weight, body, and self-esteem issues. Julie is currently working toward her certification for the treatment of eating disorders.
Julie has worked in a variety of clinical settings which include; the University Of Pennsylvania’ s College Counseling Center, Community Mental Health, Treatment for Addiction at the University of Pennsylvania, private group practice and private practice.
Julie’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, warm, relatable, and down-to-earth. She creates a comfortable, respectful and safe environment that acknowledges change can be anxiety-provoking. By utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness; Julie tailors her methods and approach to best fit the needs of her clients.
